Belize Wild Cats is a U.S. based non-profit conservation organization conducting field research and conservation work in Belize, Central America.
Our team has worked in Belize since 2016, using trail-camera research, community outreach, education and habitat restoration to better understand and protect Belize's five native wild cat species.
Our work places particular emphasis on lesser-studied felids, including the margay and jaguarundi, and on understanding how wildlife responds to habitat fragmentation and forest recovery.

Debi founded Belize Wild Cats and has worked in wildlife conservation in Belize since 2016. She leads BWC’s field research and conservation initiatives, with a focus on long-term trail-camera monitoring, wild cat habitat use, habitat restoration and community-based conservation.

Ed serves as Secretary of Belize Wild Cats and supports the organization’s field research and conservation work. He participates in trail-camera monitoring, field surveys and other on-the-ground activities supporting BWC’s long-term wildlife research.

Francis serves as a Director of Belize Wild Cats and brings local conservation knowledge and perspective to the organization. He supports BWC’s efforts to protect Belize’s wildlife and habitats while strengthening conservation connections within Belizean communities.

Director / Ranger / Field Researcher
Sipriano brings extensive field knowledge of Belize’s forests and wildlife to Belize Wild Cats. As a ranger and field researcher, he assists with wildlife monitoring, trail-camera surveys and field operations, providing valuable local knowledge and experience to BWC’s conservation work.
